My horses (2) like these and, as I recall, they are made of more good stuff than most animal treats. I have been buying these for years and what struck me most this time is that the 15-lb refillI came in a reusable plastic bucket for a lower price than the usual cardboard box! (Thanks)Judging by our pony’s reaction, these are THE BEST TREATS EVER! I wish they were cheaper, but you pay for what you get and they smell so good that it’s tempting to try them ourselves. Even the empty containers are useful small water or storage buckets. It’s a great product.I bought these first about 2 decades ago when they were rated in MichEl Plumb's Horse Journal. That was many horses ago, and I have yet to have a horse who did not express real appreciation for these. Some were not apple fans, one would not touch anything smelling of peppermint, a few refused the extruded style treats, but all have been fans of Mrs. Pature's. They keep their shape and crunchiness, seem impervious to being in a sweaty pants pocket, and have a long shelf life. They are pricey compared to other treats, but worth the cost to me.Love this horse treat. Lots of whole oats and molasses. My horses will do anything for them, and they’re small enough to fit in a pocket.Opened the bucket and a rancid smell - the cookies were not consumable. I have ordered many of these over the years, clearly this batch was bad. Poor quality control and not returnable? Be careful here. After I ride my pony I like to give him treats. These are great because they last a while. All the horses and ponies in my barn love them even my friend has tried them and saw way the horses love them so much. These are great treats.Excellent treat for my thoroughbred mares. They spit out carrots, apples and peppermints. But when they see me carrying my bucket these grain cookies, they come right to me. My mare is pregnant to California Chrome. And he loves Mrs Pasture's cookies too. Hopefully, the foal will run like crazy to the finish line to get these horse treats like his parents love.Perfect! Our horses love these!
