I had this book for decades. Used it every Christmas. Then I lost it, and am so glad I found it again. Opera fudge is my all time favorite! I highly recommend this book.I did not receive the book shown or discribed. I received a paperback book from 1987. This is absolutely false advertisement. I paid $10 plus another $15 for shipping just to get a totally different book. This was supposed to be a sentimental gift for my husband, as the book pictured was a book his mother used before she passed away when he was only 13. I purchased the book pictured and described in this add and got a different book. Absolutely disappointing.This is an old, 1966 cookbook with recipes that have held up well. I'm on my second copy of this book and use it during the year for a couple of recipes that are childhood favorites of my kids and I use some of the fudge and candy recipes every Christmas. Love the book. The seller was prompt and for a used book it arrived looking like a new book. Recommend both the seller and the book.Looking for classic cookie recipes found in grandma's index card boxes all over the nation? Look no further. This is my one stop book for all my Christmas cookies and candies. Not only does it tons of simple classic cookies but it has techniques and definitions I find indepensible. The photos other than the cover and some of the cookie platters are mostly black and white.Great recipes I have made with my mom and children the past 25 years!Arrive on time ! Very special book . I bought it years ago and have been petrified that I would lose it so finding it on Amazon I purchased a second. I'm guarding this and my original book with my life :-)My first copy of this cookbook fell apart from being used so much so I was happy to find another copy. Recipes are well-written and easy to follow and the results are great!Very, very disappointed. It is not as illustrated. The cover is all blue, front and back. I call this false advertising.Although, the content is correct.
